Room Tour!

Hello! This post has been long anticipated and I'm finally doing it. A room tour! I decided to do this for a couple of reasons. One being that I want to help anyone in trying to decorate their room and two being that I just thought it would be fun. I've selected a few decorative/post worthy things in my room to show and hopefully give anyone some ideas for their room!

The first thing I decided to show was my corner of posters (a whopping amount of 2, wow Sydney). The one on the left is a poster of Ed Sheeran that I surprisingly bought at Canada's Wonderland because I love Ed Sheeran and it was only about $8. I'm on a budget! The second poster on the right is of the famous kiss at Times Square, New York City and ironically, I bought it in New York. I bought it from a street vendor but this picture is sold in so many places. Both of the these posters also have frames around them and I bought both from Michaels.

This is probably my favourite part of my room! I have two guitars hung up on my wall, both of which are played everyday! The guitar on the left was my Grandpa's old Yamaha guitar which he passed down to me. The one on the right is a Fender T-Bucket 300CE which I got for Christmas (probably the best present ever). Both are held up by guitar hangers from Long & McQuade.

These are the fairy light I have draped on my bed frame and were seen on my wall in the previous picture. These, in my opinion, are the best fairy lights to buy because they are just teeny tiny little lights along a copper wire. They're not too obnoxious and in your face which is nice! These I purchased a while ago from Urban Outfitters. They're a bit pricy but they've lasted a really long time!

I chose to include these two items mainly because I think they're perfect for storage. The picture on the left is a jewellery box that I got from Home Sense. It has three drawers (I know, it looks like there is a fourth drawer on the top but it's just your imagination), a top box that holds rings and two long necklace holders on the side. It was also pretty pricy but it holds so much inside which is great for storage. The next picture is actually a DIY makeup brush holder made from my old candle. I initially got the idea from Ingrid Nilsen (missglamorazzi) but instead of painting it, I left it bare. I personally like how you can see the clear fillers just like in makeup stores! It's cute and completely free!

This is a view of the top of my desk and above. I decided to show a photo of this because of the setup. Sitting on top are two plants on each end (both of which I will talk about later), a clock from Ikea that doesn't have batteries in it, a Stress Relief candle from Bath and Body Works and a picture of my friends and I. The wall map is probably my favourite decoration in my room! It's a scratch map of the world that I bought from Urban Outfitters. How it works? Whenever you visit somewhere in the world, you scratch off that area and a different colour is underneath for every country. This is also has a frame from Michaels.

This is my most recent purchase and it's a desk calendar that starts in August 2014 and ends August 2015. If you know me, you'd know that I'm a freak about organization so this is something that I personally need! It's also just really good for keeping yourself organized during the busy school year.

These are my plants!! I love them so much and I think plants are a must for a room! They keep your room full of life! On the right is a willow plant that my grandmother bought for me from Terra's Garden Center. They're seasonal plants so you'd need to wait until spring to buy them. They're held in a clear glass vase that you can buy pretty much anywhere including Home Sense. The plant in the middle is called an air plant. They don't need any soil to grow and can take any light! All you have to do is mist them with water. I bought this from my local florist and it already came in the glass container. The plant on the right is a small terrarium from a Garden store called Centro and Centro has become my ultimate favourite store! I think I love everything in there...! Anyways, the terrarium came with the plant, stick, stones and soil already planted and you just have to mist its once a month to keep it alive.

The last thing I wanted to include is my best friend, Ren. It's a lizard I got as a Christmas gift and the tank came with everything already inside of it. Ren's only about six months old but cute as ever! Also, if you were wondering why I'm calling it an 'it', it's because I'm not entirely sure of the gender but I have a feeling it's a girl!

I hope this has helped anyone in trying to decorate their room or has helped anyone with some room theme ideas! I am also in no way trying to brag about what I have because I know that I'm very fortunate for having all these things. I bought everything myself aside from the gifts so I'm in no way trying to seem greedy!

Thanks!
